Improving the physical properties of biobased polymers using bionanofillers is essential to preserve its biodegradability. This work presents a dopamine-induced functionalization of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) with polyethylene glycol (PEG), to enhance the crystallization, mechanical and barrier properties of poly(L -lactic acid) (PLLA) bionanocomposites. The effect of molecular weight of grafted PEG on the properties of PLLA is also studied. This study investigates the structure and water adsorbing capacity of bagasse and of sodium hydroxide pretreated bagasse. The structures of bagasse and bagasse-NaOH were compared by SEM and XRD. Candida antarctica lipase B was then immobilized on bagasse, bagasse-NaOH and DPA@bagasse-NaOH. The expressed activity and immobilization yield of lipase immobilized on bagasse-NaOH (1.0%) was 36% and 45% higher than that on bagasse. A novel poly(glycine) (p-GLY)/graphene oxide (GO) composite based sensor (p-GLY/GO) was successfully prepared on glassy carbon electrode by simple electropolymerization. Electrochemical responses of analytes on p-GLY/GO modified electrode were studied by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. The results demonstrated that p-GLY/GO modified electrode showed a favorable application for the simultaneous determination of dopamine (DA), uric acid (UA), guanine (GU) and adenine (AD).
