Human brain in prenatal period is a most vulnerable to ionizing radiation body structure. Unlike atomic bombings or radiological interventions in healthcare leading at most to external irradiation the intensive internal exposure may occur upon nuclear reactor accidents followed by substantial release and fallout of radioactive 131I. The latter can lead to specific neuroradioembryological effects. OBJECTIVE: To create an experimental model of prenatal cerebral radiation effects of 131I in human and to determine the experimental and clinical neuroradioembryological effects...

OBJECTIVE: In experiments performed on Vistar rats with Walker tumors, F. Luksch observed transfer of malignant cells during different manipulations into the blood circulation of the animals. During gynecologic surgery of a choriocarcinoma and of an ovarian carcinoma Luksch and Cernoch prooved trace of malignant cells within the blood circulation related to the manipulation of tumors during surgery. Therefore, as prevention of the metastazing of tumor cells, they proposed to ligate ampular portions of oviducts and hypogastric vessels as the first step of the radical surgeries...

The influence of tumor development on the blood plasma antioxidant system in the area of tumor growth has been studied. Zajdela ascite hepatoma transplanted to the abdominal cavity of Vistar rats was used as a model of tumor growth. It hase been found that tumor development produced and imbalance between pro- and antioxidant systems in the organism of tumor bearer. Besides, a sharp decrease in tocopherol and uric acid concentrations (twice), as well as in the concentration of protein SH-groups (seven times) was noted...

The article investigates morphological changes in pancreas, liver, and small intestine after early enteral nutrition in Vistar rats after modeling of acute pancreatitis and creation of jejunostomy. Morphological changes and redox potential measurements show that early enteral nutrition via micro-jejunostomy slows down the development of pathological processes in Vistar rats.
