The objective of this study was to compare the effects of preparing for implant site osteotomy with conventional drilling or piezosurgery on the stability of oral implants after a 5 month follow-up period. Superior mechanical and chemical properties of Zr70 Ni16 Cu6 Al8 bulk metallic glass (BMG) demonstrate its promise as a novel biomaterial for fabrication of implants.
