7878 patients with tumors in the head and neck confirmed by pathology from Jan. 1961 to Dec. 1981 are analysed. In this series, there were 5485 malignant tumors and 2393 benign. In malignant tumors, the ratio of male to female was 2.84:1 while the mean age incidence was 53.38 years. Nearly half of malignant tumors were in the nasopharynx (49.32%).
