Triclosan-O-glucuronide (TCSG) is one of the primary urinary metabolites of the antibacterial compound triclosan or TCS that is found in many personal care products and consumer goods. We have developed a competitive, indirect heterologous ELISA for the detection of the target TCSG in urine. Such an ELISA for TCSG could be developed as a useful tool to measure this important biomarker of human exposure to TCS. In this paper, the authors compare and contrast two psychotherapy paradigms for the treatment of complex posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD): a behavioral therapy (prolonged exposure; PE) and an experiential therapy (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy; AEDP). In this paper, we introduce Intra-Relational AEDP (I-R) as an attachment-based experiential approach to trauma treatment. Integrating Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) (Fosha, 2000a,b, 2002, 2003) with ego-state methodology, intra-relational interventions specifically seeks to help clients by (1) fostering capacities for self-regulation through shared states of affective resonance between therapist, client, and dissociated self-states; (2) facilitating authentic, open internal dialogue between self-states which can alter engrained patterns of intra-psychic conflict and self-punishment; (3) developing abilities for self-reflection and emotional processing by co-mingling previously disowned affect and emotional memories with here and now experience; and (4) attending to positive affects evoked through experiences of transformation, self-compassion, and self-affirmation...

The synthesis of the Re (V) complex and preparation of 188Re-AEDP are described using 188Re which was obtained from the alumina-based 188W/188Re generator. Dependence of the radiolabeling yields of 188Re-AEDP on reducing agent concentration, AEDP concentration, pH and addition of carrier was examined. In the case of optimum conditions, the radiolabeling yields of 188Re-AEDP were 92-93% for carrier-free 188Re and 95-98% for carrier-added 188Re. Twelve samples of ventricular fibrillation were fed into nine automated external defibrillator-pacemakers ( AEDP , "Heart Aid") of recent design. All the devices recognised and defibrillated ventricular fibrillation in seven of the samples within 30 sec. None of the devices reacted to two of the samples; in the remaining three there was inter-device variation ranging from an appropriate response to no response, as well as inappropriate pacing or delay in recognition and treatment. A valveless, single orifice counterpulsation device (CD) with maximum stroke volume of 100 ml was implanted on the ascending aorta of nine dogs. Its pneumatic driver was gaited by the ECG to provide aortic diastolic augmentation, with a stroke volume of 60-70 ml. In the same animals a 20 ml intraaortic balloon (IAB) was placed into the descending aorta. An attempt was made to evaluate the effectiveness of the CD on severe cardiogenic shock and to compare its hemodynamic effects with those of the IABP.
