Over 15 years of fat tissue research on cellular level established the technique of autologous fat grafting. Lipomodeling allows to change the shape and volume of the recipient tissue with the aim to reconstruct, rejuvenate and regenerate body features. The stem cells derived from fat tissue are responsible for the regenerating effect. The success of the procedure is based on proper technique of fat harvesting, fat processing and fat reinjection. In the field of the aesthetic surgery lipomodeling represents a gold tool particularly for face rejuvenation and breast enlargement...

Loss of volume in the soft tissues of the face is considered to be an important cause of facial ageing. This volume loss can be compensated by microfattransfer. This technique offers a natural and long-lasting effect. Fat is harvested with liposuction and after centrifugation it is injected into the target areas in the face using small blunt cannulas. The goal is to place the fat in the desired place in such a way that the fat will survive and become integrated in the acceptor tissue. Microfattransfer can be combined with other cosmetic facial procedures such as blepharoplasties and facelifts...

BACKGROUND: Breast-conserving treatment (BCT) leads to a progressive and deteriorating breast deformity. Fatgrafting is ideal for breast reconstruction after BCT. The most frequently utilized technique for fat processing is centrifugation. The PureGraft device (Cytori Therapeutics, San Diego, CA, USA) is a new method that involves washing and filtering the fat to prepare the graft. We compared the subjective and objective outcomes of two fat-processing methods, centrifugation and PureGraft filtration...

INTRODUCTION: Autologous fat tissue transfer has recently become extremely popular in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Fat represents a filling material with ideal properties - it naturally incorporates into tissues and it is autologous, and therefore 100% biocompatible. An increasing number of publications describe the regenerative properties of autologous fat tissue, especially when used in soft tissue with post-radiation damage. The aim of this article is to describe our experience with fat grafting in breasts...
