A retrospective survey on home parenteral nutrition (HPN) in Europe was performed from January to December 1997. Data were compared to a similar study performed in 1993. A questionnaire of HPN practice was designed by the members of the ESPEN-HAN group. The current standard treatments for childhood cancers are highly successful.
