Fullerene exhibited strong catalysis of the redox reaction between HAuCl₄ and trisodium citrate to form gold nanoplasmon with a strong surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) effect at 1615 cm−1 in the presence of Vitoria blue B molecule probes. When fullerene increased, the SERS peak enhanced linearly due to formation of more AuNPs as substrate. Upon addition of Ba2+ , Ba2+ ions adsorb on the fullerene surface to inhibit the catalysis of fullerene that caused the SERS peak decreasing. Analyte SO₄2− combined with Ba2+ to form stable BaSO₄ precipitate to release free fullerene that the catalysis recovered, and the SERS intensity increased linearly...

In this work, the eletrochemiluminescence (ECL) behavior of Cu2+ /cysteine complexes and N-(aminobutyl)-N-(ethylisoluminol) (ABEI) functionalized gold nanoparticles combined with chitosan (Cu2+ -Cys-ABEI-GNPs-CS) were studied by cyclic voltammetry and a double-step potential, which exhibited excellent ECL properties without any coreactant. It was found that the ECL intensity of Cu2+ -Cys-ABEI-GNPs-CS could increase at least one order of magnitude compared with that of Cu2+ -Cys-ABEI-GNPs. Furthermore, a coreactant-free and label-free ECL immunosensor has been established for the determination of early acute myocardial infarction biomarker copeptin based on luminescent immuno-gold nanoassemblys consisting of Cu2+ -Cys-ABEI-GNPs-CS and immuno-gold nanoparticles prepared by connecting copeptin antibody with trisodium citrate stabilized gold nanoparticles...

The stability of silver nanoplatelet (NP) suspensions prepared with different concentrations of trisodium citrate (TSC) was studied by depolarized dynamic light scattering (DDLS) and UV-vis spectrometry. The morphology of the nanoparticles, as well as the color and stability of the sols, are tuned by the concentration of the capping agent. The nanoparticles prepared with high TSC concentration (>10-4 M) are blue triangular NPs showing a slight truncation of the tips with aging. When low TSC concentrations are used, the color of the sols changes from blue to yellow with aging time and a strong modification of the morphology occurs: the nanoparticle shape changes from triangular to spherical...

The creaming effects, mechanical properties and microstructures of processed cheeses were investigated under different emulsifying conditions using a rapid visco-analyzer, and the changes in protein network related to the creaming effect and the occurrence of yielding points were discussed. The higher stirring speed affected the fat globules to be smaller, and gave the processed cheese more firmness at fixed stirring time. The longer stirring time caused the protein network to become fine-stranded. A fine-stranded structure promoted the creaming effect, and hence the formation of yielding point in the mechanical properties...
