This organophosphorus pesticide is the active ingredient of Metasystox® , that was swallowed by a 77-year-old woman to commit suicide. We previously showed that fetal exposure to maternal type 1 diabetes (T1D) is associated with altered glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in adult offspring. Here, we investigated whether this β -cell defect displays a sex dimorphism. Twenty-nine adult nondiabetic offspring of T1D mothers (ODMs) were compared with 29 nondiabetic offspring of T1D fathers. CDISC's Operational Data Model (ODM) is a flexible standard for exchanging and archiving metadata and subject clinical data in clinical trials. The Portal of Medical Data Models (MDM-Portal) uses ODM to store more than 15000 medical forms. As not every electronic health system accepts ODM as input format, there is a need for conversion between ODM and other data standards and formats. This research proposes a standardised template-based process to develop ODM converters. So far, ten converters have been developed and integrated in the MDM-Portal following this process and new ones should be included soon...

We previously demonstrated that we can image electronic excitations of quantum dots by single-molecule absorption scanning tunneling microscopy (SMA-STM). With this technique, a modulated laser beam periodically saturates an electronic transition of a single nanoparticle, and the resulting tunneling current modulation ΔI(x0 , y0 ) maps out the SMA-STM image. In this paper, we first derive the basic theory to calculate ΔI(x0 , y0 ) in the one-electron approximation. Optic disc melanocytoma (ODM) has been considered as a benign tumor with few reports of malignant transformation. We present swept-source optical coherence tomography (SSOCT) imaging of a case of ODM. As attaining histopathology is impossible in most cases, we discuss the possibility of using SSOCT as a tool for ruling out choroidal invasion or juxtapapillary melanoma.

A laboratory scaled biogas digester was constantly fed every four hours with maize- and grass silage to keep a base load with an organic loading rate (OLR) of 2.5 kg oDM/m3  ∗ d.
