Arterial and venous complications are major causes of morbidity and mortality in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). MPNs patients, frequently receive heparin. Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) is a rare but potentially life-threatening complication resulting in a severe acquired thrombophilic condition.
