Previous work has shown promising results for an intercostal myoneurovascular transposition in the prevention of gastroesophageal reflux following esophagectomy. A first study evaluated the intercostal transposition procedure and compared it with the Nissen fundoplication using a rabbit model of gastroesophageal reflux.
