α-Pyrrolidinoheptiophenone (PV8) is a representative of α-pyrrolidinophenone derivatives, a new group of synthetic cathinones. PV8 was first detected in illegal products in Japan in 2013. It is closely related to α-pyrrolidinovalerophenone (α-PVP), which was one of the most popular novel psychoactive substance (NPS) in Poland in years 2013-2015. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical effects of percutaneous pedicle screw fixation(PPSF) combined with percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP) for the treatment of osteoporotic thoracolumbar fractures. Poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP)/copper oxide composite nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning technique using PVP and copper acetate as precursors and calcinated at high temperature to yield polymer free, phase pure copper oxide nanofibers (CuO NFs). In this study, we report a straightforward strategy for Hg2+ ion detection. Fluorescent Au nanoparticles (NPs) were one-pot synthesized using a polymer (polyvinyl pyrrolidone [PVP]) as both capping and fluorescence agent. The as-synthesized PVP-Au NPs showed a remarkably rapid response selectively for Hg2+ ions compared to 14 other metal ions. The detection limit of Hg2+ was estimated at 100 nM.
