BACKGROUND: This systematic review was aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of cupping therapy for treating patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Agnes M Schitter, Johannes Fleckenstein
BACKGROUND: WaterShiatsu (WATSU) is a passive form of hydrotherapy in warm water (35 °C) that aims at relaxation, pain relief, and a sense of security. This case report focuses on a patient's experience of integrating WATSU into her rehabilitative care. CASE REPORT: A 52-year-old woman survived a severe motorcycle accident in which she sustained several fractures on the right side of her body, including ribs, the pelvis, and the femur. After discharge from stationary care, she independently scheduled 8 weekly WATSU sessions with an experienced WATSU therapist also trained in physiotherapy and psychosomatics...

BACKGROUND: Elaborate consultations and life review (ECLR) has been regularly applied in patients of various cancer entities and stages within Anthroposophic-integrative oncology concepts. However, a lack of systematic research in this field has been detected. To close this gap of knowledge, we evaluated the impact of ECLR in patients with non-metastasized breast cancer before, during, and after primary oncological treatment. METHODS: Patient-reported outcome measures were evaluated by analyzing European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaires (EORTC QLQ-C30) in patients with non-metastasized breast cancer who had received either oncological standard therapy alone or in combination with ECLR...

BACKGROUND/AIMS: Validation of treatments with individually prescribed homeopathic medicines is a challenging task. A prognostic homeopathic patient questionnaire containing 140 keynote symptoms (highly characteristic of a specific homeopathic medicine) and an electronic algorithm to process the answers were used in 2 clinical studies. The algorithm outcome, based on total symptom scores, indicated 1 of 11 pre-selected homeopathic medicines for women with premenstrual syndrome and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMS/PMDD)...
