Intense near-infrared (NIR) emitting phosphors Ca5 (PO4 )3 Cl:Eu2+ ,Nd3+ were synthesized using a conventional solid-state reaction method and characterized using X-ray diffraction, reflectance, photoluminescence (PL) emission and PL excitation (PLE) spectroscopy, and PL lifetime measurements. The emission could be excited by broad band radiation in the nUV region as a consequence of Eu2+ →Nd3+ energy transfer. The efficiency of Eu2+ →Nd3+ energy transfer was as high as 80.8%. Two components observed in the decay curves could be identified with Eu2+ substituting different Ca2+ sites...

As one of the most important organic semiconductors, perylene diimide derivatives (PDIs) have been widely applied in optoelectronics. Two kinds of soluble PDIs with different imide substituents have been synthesized and their optical properties have been investigated. The photoluminescence (PL) intensity of the PDI with amino phenyl imide substituents (NH2 -PDI) is much lower than that of the PDI with octyl imide substituents (O-PDI). We investigated the emission property of perovskite CaHfO3 polycrystals with various concentrations of cerium ion (Ce3+ ). With a wide range of UV photoexcitation, we observed a strong emission near 430 nm which should originate from 5d-4f transitions in the Ce3+ ions. Combining these emission spectra with the photoluminescence excitation spectra, we estimated the Stokes shift to be 6700 cm-1 , irrespective of the Ce3+ ion doping concentration. Velpatasvir (VLP) is a new, oral, direct-acting antiviral with potent inhibitory activity against all hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotypes. A highly sensitive, simple, fast and specific one fluorometric method for determination of VLP in the presence of sofosbuvir was developed and validated. Cyclic β-(1→3),(1→6) glucans (CBGs) isolated from Bradyrhizobium japonicum bacteria are the periplasmic oligosaccharides having cyclic structures. This paper presents the isolation of CBGs from the bacteria cultured using optimized medium that improved yields to 350-450 mg per gram of cellular dry weight along with analytical interaction with lead(II) ions in the range 33.0-2.0 ppm with CBG as a binding ligand, using constant wavelength synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy. The goal of present research is a theoretical and experimental investigation of geometrical structure, electronic properties, absorption and fluorescence spectra prediction for 2-bromo-3-N-(N',N'-dimethylformamidino)benzanthrone. As a result of conformational analysis, two rotamers have been found with a rotational barrier of 5.45 kcal/mol. Absorption and fluorescence spectra maxima in the solvent (ethanol) have been calculated using the concepts of the Jablonsky diagram. Chromium(III) doped nanosized Sc2-x Inx (WO4 )3 , (x = 0-2) solid solutions were prepared by the co-precipitation/calcination method. The obtained powders were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), infrared (IR), absorption and luminescence spectra. X-ray analysis showed that the compounds are pure solid solutions with orthorhombic symmetry at x values 0 and 0.5 and with monoclinic symmetry for x values 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0. The mechanoluminescence of cerium (Ce) and terbium (Tb) lanthanide salts is studied in hydrocarbon [methane (CH4 ) and acetylene (C2 H2 )] and inert [helium (He), neon (Ne), argon (Ar), krypton (Kr), and xenon (Xe)] gaseous mixtures. The lines of *N2 , *Ln3+ , inert gases, *CH, and *C2 radicals resulted from the mechanochemical decomposition of CH4 and C2 H2 are observed in the emission spectrum. The luminescence intensity of the inert gases decreases with the hydrocarbon gas concentration in the mixture. The as-prepared graphene oxide (GO) exhibited a strong catalytic effect on reduction of HAuCl4 by trisodium citrate to form gold nanoplasmons (AuNPs) with a strong surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) effect at 1615 cm-1 in the presence of molecular probe Victoria blue 4R (VB4r). SERS intensity increased with nanocatalyst GO concentration due to the formation of more AuNP substrates.
