The current investigation's goals are to pharmacologically evaluate the neurotherapeutic role of bioactive compound Alpha Pinene (ALP)-loaded Self-emulsifying nano-formulation (SENF) in neurotoxin (Rotenone and the Industrial Solvent Trichloroethylene)- induced dopaminergic loss. It is believed that these models simulate important aspects of the molecular pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease. The ALP-nano-formulation's anti-Parkinson's activity was compared to ALP suspension in Wistar rats after rotenone and trichloro ethylene-induced dopaminergic loss...

Contrast-induced encephalopathy (CIE) is a rare complication of imaging using ionidated contrast media. Its pathogenesis remains unknown, and its clinical presentation is variable. We present two cases of CIE following coronary angiography (CAG) that underscore the multitude of clinical manifestations and imaging findings associated with the disorder. In patients 1, CIE manifested during the CAG with agitation and decreased consciousness, followed by left hemiparesis and visual neglect. Native computed tomography (CT) of the head was unremarkable but CT perfusion (CTP) showed extensive hypoperfusion of the right hemisphere with corresponding slow-wave activity in the electroencephalogram (EEG)...

OBJECTIVE: To observe and analyze the efficacy of recombinant tissue-plasminogen activator (rt-PA) thrombolysis combined with Solitaire AB stent mechanical thrombectomy in patients with acute ischemic stroke. METHODS: Clinical efficacy, neurological function, oxidative stress response, adverse reactions, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. RESULTS: Lower NIHSS scores were observed among patients who received treatment within 2 hours after stroke onset when compared with those in a timeframe of 2-6 hours, suggesting better neurological function recovery of the patients with early intervention and thus emphasizing the importance of early treatment for patients with stroke onset...

Introduction: Social inequality conditions induce aversion and affect brain functions and mood. This study investigated the effects of chronic social equality and inequality (CSE and CSI, respectively) conditions on passive avoidance memory and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)-like behaviors in rats under chronic empathic stress. Methods: Rats were divided into different groups, including control, sham-observer, sham-demonstrator, observer, demonstrator, and co-demonstrator groups. Chronic stress (2 hours/day) was administered to all stressed groups for 21 days...

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the effectiveness of stent retriever mechanical thrombectomy combined with tirofiban in treating acute ischemic stroke. METHODS: Markedly effective is defined as an SIS score of over 90, effective is indicated by an SIS score of between 50-90, and a score of below 50 suggests ineffective treatment results. RESULTS: ①The treatment's overall effectiveness in the observation group (91.30%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (75...

The cancer patient is undergoing a set of procedures that affect the physical and psychological balance, which can generate stressful situations in the organism. In turn, physical activity helps to treat stress, promoting well-being and reducing anxiety. Our study aimed to verify the influence of physical activity practice on stress symptoms in patients undergoing oncological chemotherapy treatment. For this, we used Lipp's Inventory of Stress Symptoms (ISSL) and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) in 56 patients with cancer...
