Iron overloads are a serious clinical condition in the health of humans and are therefore a key target in drug development. In this study, iron(III) complex of 8-hydroxyquinoline-5 sulphonic acid was synthesized and structurally characterized in its solid state and solution state by FT-IR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility and 1H-NMR. The catalase activities of complex were investigated. It was showed that the complex has the catalase activity.
